Switch off the parts your chat doesn't want
A photo of a receipt gets read out in four languages. A voice note arrives in the middle of a meeting. Someone starts a word game in the work group. Until now the only way to stop any of that was to remove the bot. Type !app, open the group's page, and there are now switches: photos, voice notes, karaoke and games, each one on or off for that chat.

- Off means off, and quietly so. A chat that switched photos off simply stops translating them — no reply, nothing on every picture. Type
!sing where karaoke is off and you do get an answer, because you asked for it by name: the chat switched it off, not that you need a bigger plan.
- Photos are the switch worth knowing about: reading one dense photo can cost what thirty chat messages would, so turning them off is the fastest way to make a monthly allowance last.
- Translation itself can be paused for one hour, six, twelve or twenty-four — for a meeting, a meal, or a conversation the group would rather keep to itself. It starts again on its own. There is deliberately no permanent off switch, so nobody can quietly mute the bot and leave the group wondering months later why it never says anything.
- Any member of the group can change any of this, exactly as any member can already add a language. It belongs to the chat, not to whoever pays.
Commands keep working while translation is paused, so a chat can always lift its own pause — !app opens the page that turns it back on.

The dashboard now opens inside LINE
Changing anything about your groups used to mean leaving the conversation: ask for a sign-in link, wait for it to arrive, open a browser, sign in. Type !app and the same dashboard now opens as a screen inside LINE — already signed in, because LINE knows who you are.

!app works in any chat and needs no link, no browser and no password. Send it in a group and it opens straight onto that group's page.- Languages are now something you tap. Turn one on or off from the group's page instead of typing
!lang add — and, exactly as in the chat, any member of the group can do it, not only whoever pays.
- Paying still hands you to Stripe, but now it brings you back to where you were instead of dropping you at the start of the chat.
PlumiBot will not show up in LINE's own list of apps: being listed there needs a certified provider, which is not something Taiwan grants yet. Reach it with !app. Nothing about the ordinary website changed — !login and plumibot.com work exactly as they did.

臺語 and 客家話, written the way Taiwan writes them
Type 食飽未 in a Taiwanese group and PlumiBot used to read it as Mandarin, decide no translation was needed, and say nothing — leaving everyone who does not speak Taiwanese looking at a message they could not read. Taiwanese Hokkien and Hakka are now languages in their own right, and a message in either one gets translated like any other.

nan and hak, or Taigi, Hokkien, Hakka, 客語.
- Both are written in Han characters, never in POJ or Pha̍k-fa-sṳ romanisation, and never handed the same wording as each other.
- A message typed in Taiwanese or Hakka is now recognised as such even in a group that has not switched either on — so the Mandarin readers get their translation instead of silence.
- Voice notes in every language got better at Chinese: the bot now knows which languages a chat speaks before it listens, instead of guessing from all 124.
Voice notes in a chat with 臺語 or 客家話 switched on are still transcribed as Chinese. Dialect speech recognition fails in a way you cannot see — it reads fluently and changes the meaning — so it is not something we will ship until it is right. These two also need a stronger model, so one Taiwanese or Hakka message draws about 1,250 tokens where an ordinary message draws 350 — roughly 3,100 of them a month on Personal Pro, or 9,500 shared on Group Pro.

Karaoke, for songs you can't read
Finding the lyrics to a song is easy. Finding them written in letters you can actually sing from is not — and that is the part that decides whether you take the microphone. Name a song and PlumiBot now looks it up and writes the pronunciation under every line.
Highlights
!sing plus a song name returns the lyrics with the sound under each line — pinyin with tone marks, Hepburn romaji, Revised Romanization or Jyutping.- It shows you what it found and waits for you to confirm, so a wrong match costs you nothing.
!sing meaning explains the song you just pulled up — what it is about, and the lines a literal translation loses.- Karaoke mode reads a photo of the screen you are singing from, and switches itself off after 45 minutes.
- The tappable command list now arrives in your own language too. It had quietly stayed English while the messages around it were translated.
Karaoke is a paid feature — one song costs several times what a translated message does. Everything else on Free is unchanged.

The bot learns to speak all 126
PlumiBot could translate into 126 languages but could only talk in seven. A Spanish group got its help screens, error messages and setup questions in English anyway. Now every language it can translate into is one it can speak to you in.

Nothing gets refused for saying “and”
The guard that watches for people trying to hijack the translator matched the word “DAN” whatever its case — and dan is simply “and” in Indonesian and Malay. Indonesian chats were having nearly every message refused. A suspicious signal now hardens the instructions we send the model instead of dropping your message.

- The group's roster of names is no longer sent to the model at all.
- When something does break in a group, the error arrives in every language the chat is set to — the sender's first — and says what actually went wrong.
- A support reply is signed by the person who wrote it. Automatic mail still signs as the team, and it can no longer go out twice.

Email that looks like it came from us
Every automatic email still wore the old template, and receipts were quoting prices from two pricing models ago. All eleven have been redrawn in PlumiBot's own colours, and their plan names and amounts now read from the same source this website does — so they can't drift apart again.

Top up whatever amount you like
Pay-as-you-go credit came in three fixed sizes. Now there are six one-tap amounts up to NT$3,000, and a field for typing your own — so a top-up can match what you actually expect to use instead of the nearest button.

The same translation for everyone, and faster
We benchmarked our models against each other on real chat. The cheaper one translated just as well and answered several times quicker — so every plan now translates chat on it, Free included. Paying more buys you more translation, not a better sentence.

Translation now runs through a provider gateway instead of a single vendor, so one outage can no longer take the bot down, and the Free tier is now honest about what it covers.
