Karaoke in 10 languages, spelled the way you read
!sing now writes how every line sounds for songs in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Russian, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew and Hindi. If PlumiBot speaks to you in Thai, Japanese, Korean or Vietnamese, the sounds come in the letters you already read. And it finds the words of songs already in Latin letters, from Vietnamese and Filipino to Spanish and Turkish.
Highlights
- Ten song languages. Songs in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Russian, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew and Hindi come with how every line sounds written underneath. Thai is new: Thai songs can now be found by their Thai names.
- Spelled the way you read. Everyone gets Latin letters: pinyin for Mandarin, Jyutping for Cantonese, romaji for Japanese, and the usual Latin spelling for the others. If PlumiBot speaks to you in Thai, Japanese, Korean or Vietnamese, the sounds come in Thai script, katakana, Hangul or Vietnamese spelling instead. A song already in your own alphabet still comes in Latin letters, since that one is usually for a friend.
- Songs in Latin letters. Vietnamese, Filipino, Indonesian, Malay, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German and Turkish songs have no sounds to write out. The list of songs says so before you pick, and you get the words as they are.
!sing meaningthen tells you what the song is about. - Type it any way. Write a Russian or Arabic song in Latin letters, like “Kino Gruppa krovi” or “Amr Diab Tamally Maak”, and PlumiBot finds the original song.
- Mandarin stays Mandarin. Some Mandarin songs written in traditional characters came back with Cantonese spelling. Chinese is now read as Mandarin unless the words are written in Cantonese.
Karaoke is still a paid feature, at about 6 to 14 messages a song. A song already in Latin letters costs less, because there are no sounds to write.
