▸ GETTING STARTED
How do I add PlumiBot to my LINE group?
Tap “Add to LINE” to add the bot as a friend, then invite it to a group like any other LINE friend.
Does it work in DMs or only groups?
Both. In DMs it translates to the languages you set with !setlang; in groups, to every configured group language.
Do I need to register?
Yes — a quick one-time DM onboarding (name + preferred language, ~15s). You can !skip anytime.
Is PlumiBot free?
Yes — the Free tier gives 20 translations/month. Paid plans start at NT$100/month for ~500 translations.
▸ TRANSLATION
How many languages?
50+ including English, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Thai, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and more.
Does it preserve tone?
Yes. Every translation carries a tone indicator (formal / casual / upset / etc.) plus a cultural-context note for idioms and slang.
What about long messages?
Messages over 500 characters are auto-summarized before translation so the chat stays readable.
▸ VOICE & IMAGE
Can it transcribe voice notes?
Yes. Voice notes are transcribed and translated; anything over 30s also gets a summary.
What about images?
A photo of a menu, sign, document or product label comes back as a clean, formatted translation. Text-less photos are silently ignored.
Do voice & image cost more tokens?
Yes — OCR and transcription use more tokens than plain text. See the pricing page for the rule of thumb.

What games are there?
Word Chain (chain words by last letter) and Translation Duel (fastest correct translation wins). Both have group leaderboards.
Can mixed-language groups play?
Yes — game messages broadcast in every group language so everyone competes fairly.
What do you win?
Bonus translation tokens — about 1,050 per win, roughly two extra free translations.

Subscription or one-time?
Both. Personal Pro (NT$100/mo) and Group Pro (NT$200/mo) are subscriptions; Pay-As-You-Go credits never expire.
What's a token?
How AI measures text length — a short message is ~50 tokens, a normal one ~350. You pay for actual usage.
What if I exceed my quota?
Translation pauses until the 1st of next month. Upgrade or switch to PAYG anytime.
Can I transfer Group Pro to another group?
Yes — use !groupid in the new group and manage the transfer from your dashboard.
Do monthly tokens roll over?
No — monthly plans reset on the 1st. PAYG credits never expire.

Do you store my messages?
Only the last 7 days of group chat (for !digest); older history auto-deletes and DMs aren't stored.
Is my data secure?
Yes — encrypted databases with row-level security and no third-party access.
Can I disable Plumi any time?
Yes — !off in any group, or remove it like any LINE friend.
